Hyundai Creta crosses 5 lakh sales mark worldwide

Hyundai Creta has crossed five lakh cumulative sales mark around the globe. The company has sold 3.7 lakh units of Creta in India and over 1.4 lakh units in overseas markets since the launch of the compact SUV in July 2015.

The sales figures from Hyundai Motor India come days after rival Maruti Suzuki India had announced that it had sold four lakh units of its compact SUV Vitara Brezza since its launch in March 2016.

“Hyundai Creta is a convergence of design, performance, safety and technology. It is the perfect SUV fulfilling the diverse needs of our new age customers. With the record sales of over five lakh units in less than four years by any Made-In-India SUV, Hyundai Creta has yet again set a new benchmark in the industry becoming a shining example of Hyundai’s manufacturing excellence,” Hyundai Motor India National Sales Head Vikas Jain said in a statement.
